Luka Doncic and Kevin Durant named NBA Players of the Week

Luka Doncic and Kevin Durant had outstanding weeks behind them and they’ve earned respective MVP awards for their efforts. Both received the honors for the second time this season.

Doncic averaged 30.5 points, 11 rebounds, 6.3 assists and led the Dallas Mavericks to a 3-1 record while Durant posted 30.7 points, 7.7 rebounds, 7.7 assists during the Nets’ 3-0 run.

KD finished the week with a phenomenal season-high 53 points against the Knicks while Doncic stepped up in crunch time to lead Dallas to a comeback win against Boston.

Durant beat out fellow nominees Giannis Antetokounmpo, Darius Garland, Pascal Siakam, and Wendell Carter Jr. in the East. The other Western Conference nominees were Deandre Ayton, Nikola Jokic, Ja Morant, and Jordan Poole.
