The Phoenix Suns have been fined $25,00 for violating the NBA’s injury-reporting rules, the league announced Saturday.

The team neglected to provide “accurate and timely” notice on guard Devin Booker’s participation status before Game 6 of their first-round playoff series against the New Orleans Pelicans on April 28.

Booker had suffered a Grade 1 hamstring strain after a 31-point performance in Game 2 of the series against the Pelicans and remained sidelined for Games 3 to 5. Despite an initial projection of his return in two to three weeks, Booker joined the Suns for Game 6, dropping 13 points in the team’s victory.

Next on, the Suns take on the Dallas Mavericks in Phoenix Monday for Game 1 of the Western Conference semifinals.
