Juancho Hernangomez will be waived by the Utah Jazz and will become a free agent according to Shams Charania and Tony Jones of The Athletic.

Hernangomez, 26, had 6.2 points and 3.5 rebounds over the 17 games he played with the Jazz last season. He began 2021-22 with the Boston Celtics and then was moved to the San Antonio Spurs in January while Utah acquired him a month later.

In an interview he gave in light of the film “Hustle,” Hernangomez mentioned that his goal is to continue with an NBA team and that he doesn’t see himself returning to Europe anytime soon. The Spanish forward last played in Europe with Estudiantes in 2014-2016, before starting his NBA journey with the Denver Nuggets.
