In his first NBA Regular Season, Paolo Banchero is proving to belong to the élite basketball level, and most of his teammates are realizing that. Among them, Gary Harris seemed particularly impressed by the Italian potential Rookie of the Year.

“He is not a normal rookie. He ain’t normal at all. He is hungry. He wants to be great. He is willing to learn. He wants to be coached. He is taking it in all on the fly and he is 20 years old so this is a lot for him. At halfway through the season, I’ve never seen anybody come into the league like he has come into the league with just how locked in, focused, and how mature he is. He already is special. He is special”, the former Denver Nuggets player said on Paolo Banchero.

The former Duke superstar became the 10th player ever to record at least 25 points, 5 rebounds, and 5 assists in a debut game on Oct. 19, and the first since LeBron James in 2003. Later on, he eventually scored at least 20 points in 15 of his first 20 games.

Paolo Banchero is averaging 20.8 points, 6.4 rebounds, 3.8 assists, and one steal on 43.9% shooting from the field in 41 games, but the Orlando Magic are currently third-to-last in the Eastern Conference with a 19-29 record.
