No Giannis, no problem: 14th win in a row for Bucks, as Holiday shines

Behind Jrue Holiday’s 33-point performance, Giannis-less Milwaukee Bucks defeated Phoenix Suns 104-101.

Big win for the Bucks without superstar Giannis Anteotokunmpo, who missed the game due to a bruised right quadriceps, as Brook Lopez made a tiebreaking layup with 24.8 seconds left and finished the match with 22 points and 12 rebounds.

Khris Middleton, with a double-double of 11 points and ten rebounds, also helped Milwaukee record their 14th win in a row and improve to 43-17.

The Bucks had a lead throughout three quarters, but the Suns took over in the final period. Thanks to Holiday’s triple, with two minutes to go, the Bucks were once again in front, and then Lopez gave them some cushion while Joe Ingles finished the Suns off from the free throw line.

Mike Budenholzer couldn’t count on Giannis, but on the other side, the Arizona team is still waiting for Kevin Durant’s debut.

Still, even without KD, Phoenix had a great team on the court, with Devin Booker scoring 24 points, Deandre Ayton recording a double-double with 22 points and 11 rebounds, and Chris Paul adding 18 points with six assists. It wasn’t enough vs Holiday and the Bucks.
