Bucks’ Thanasis Antetokounmpo suspended for headbutting Blake Griffin

The NBA announced that Milwaukee Bucks forward Thanasis Antetokounmpo has received a suspension for one game for his action to headbutt Boston Celtics forward Blake Griffin.

Per NBA:

Milwaukee Bucks forward Thanasis Antetokounmpo has been suspended one game without pay for headbutting Boston Celtics forward Blake Griffin during a stoppage in play, it was announced today by Joe Dumaras, Executive Vice President, Head of Basketball Operations.

The incident for which Antetokounmpo was assessed a Flagrant Foul 2 and ejected, occured with 1:25 remaining in the fourth quarter of the Bucks’ 140-99 loss to the Celtics on March 9 at Fiserv Forum.

Antetokounmpo will serve his suspension April 2 when the Bucks host the Philadelphia 76ers at Fiserve Forum.
