Denver Nuggets defeated Miami Heat in Game 1 of the 2023 NBA Finals, thanks to another performance to remember from Nikola Jokic.

Two-time MVP finished the match with another triple-double, scoring 27 points with 14 assists and 10 rebounds, after shooting just 3/3 in the first half.

Nikola dominated the game like only he can, and former Nuggets coach, legendary George Karl, shared his delight with Jokic’s brilliance.

Curry and Jokic are the two most transformative players of the past 15 years – a 6’2 PG who shoots better than anyone before and a 7’ foot giant who distributes the ball as well as the best guards. I wouldn’t have believed these unicorns existed a couple of decades ago,” Karl wrote on Twitter.

Nikola Jokic is one of a kind, and he keeps showing it game after game. Serbian center recorded nine triple-doubles in a current playoff run, averaging 29,8 points, 13,1 rebounds, and 10,5 assists on his 16 played games, as the Nuggets are undefeated at home, and three wins away from the historic championship.
