It’s no big secret that LeBron James would like to reunite with Kyrie Irving, as he publicly admitted once the former Brooklyn Nets playmaker went to Dallas mid-way through the 2022-23 NBA Season. Now, the roles seemed to have switched, as reported by The Athletic’s Shams Charania.

Apparently, the No.1 pick in the 2011 NBA Draft has approached his former teammates in Cleveland to see if he would like to rejoin forces with the Melbourne native with the Dallas Mavericks, joining Luka Doncic as well. Also, “Kyrie Irving is a free agent this offseason”, Charania says.

The two have played together in Cleveland once The Chosen One decided to come back to the Cavaliers following his stunt with the Miami Heat and won the 2016 NBA Championship. Then, their roads never crossed again, as Irving went to Boston and James joined the Lakers.

Between Brooklyn and Dallas, the 31-year-old point guard averaged 27.1 points, 5.1 rebounds, and 5.5 assists this year not making it to the Playoffs, while LeBron James had 24.5 points, 9.9 rebounds, and 6.5 assists in the Playoffs with the Los Angeles Lakers.
