Selected with the No.50 pick in the 2021 NBA Draft by the Philadelphia 76ers, Filip Petrusev is finally moving to the NBA with a regular contract, as officially announced by the franchise and anticipated by Eurohoops on June 22.

In the 2K24 Summer League played in Las Vegas, the 23-year-old center averaged 12.5 points on 61.1% shooting and 4.5 rebounds in two appearances, finally convincing the NBA team to keep him after a shining EuroLeague season with Crvena Zvezda, where he put up 11.0 points and 4.9 rebounds while shooting 57.3% from the field.

Spending two years in college with the Gonzaga Bulldogs, Filip Petrusev went on to play for Ergin Ataman’s Anadolu Efes, but couldn’t find a lot of playing time. Prior to that, he dominated in the ABA League with KK Mega Basket, earning both Rising Star and MVP honors in the 2020-21 season.
