Klay Thompson has officially become a member of the Miami Heat. He is now a teammate of Giannis Antetokounmpo and Bam Adebayo, as Pat Riley and Erik Spoelstra attempt to build a different kind of big three in their quest to compete for and win another championship.
Thompson became a free agent after leaving the Dallas Mavericks, where he played for the last two years, without the Texas team managing to achieve anything significant in the post-Doncic era.
The 35-year-old guard has won four NBA championships with the Golden State Warriors (he is a 5-time All-Star and the winner of the 2016 Three-Point Contest), while Miami will be the third team of his career.
Thompson has played in 934 regular-season NBA games (and another 158 in the playoffs), averaging 18.6 points and 40.9% from three-point range.
