Enjoying the boost produced by the praise from his new teammates, Sasha Vezenkov discussed rising to the challenge with the Sacramento Kings.

He shared his perspective on launching the 2023 NBA Preseason and getting ready to play in the 2023-24 Regular Season. “I can’t wait to start,” he underlined on Monday.

Vezenkov, 28, inked a three-year contract to join the Kings in July. He moved his talents to the NBA after being named MVP of the 2022-23 Turkish Airlines EuroLeague.

“Every day is better and better. That is what I expect in the games too. To be better and better in every game,” he described his experience so far in Sacramento and previewed finally jumping into action.

Since introducing himself to the Kings and the NBA fans via a press conference about one month ago, he settled in the city with the support of his family and the organization. The next step is becoming comfortable on the court as well.

“I will be ready for anything,” he said on his role under head coach Mike Brown, “I am ready for the opportunity. I think I can help the team. Whenever the coach decides, I am here to do it.”

“It does not mean anything to come off the bench. The most important is to help the team and the team wins,” he added on potentially being assigned to a reserve role, “Whatever it takes to win.”

The Kings taking on the Toronto Raptors in Vancouver’s Rogers Arena will open the Preseason schedule on Sunday.
