Holding on down the stretch with Giannis Antetokounmpo being effective on both ends, the Milwaukee Bucks improved to 4-2 in the 2023-24 Regular Season on Monday.

Antetokounmpo, 28, delivered in offense and defense as the Bucks survived the battle with the Brooklyn Nets in Barclays Center.

“I was not thinking at all. I was the big out there. I was trying to play basketball,” he commented on his two blocks down the stretch, “I was fortunate to be in the right spot down the stretch and be able to get those blocks.”

“I feel like Dame, me and Khris and our shooters were ready to play, ready to close out the game,” he shared credit for the game-winning display in crunch time with Damian Lillard, Khris Middleton, and remaining teammates.

The Freak ended up with a 36-point, 12-rebound double-double to go with three assists, two blocks, and one steal. Fellow starters, Lillard and Middleton combined for 36 points.

“We did a lot of good things. There are a lot of things we got to get better on,” he talked about the team performance, “It is game six. Keep building good habits. Hopefully, in 76 games from now, we will be where we want to be.”

The seventh game of the Regular Season returns the Bucks to Fiserv Forum with the Detroit Pistons visiting on Wednesday.

The Greek international is up to 26.0 points and 9.0 rebounds per contest over the first six outings.
