The Dallas Mavericks are on a five-game winning streak. Up to 43-29, they rank sixth in the Western Conference, at the bottom end of the zone leading directly to the 2024 NBA Playoffs.

A blowout win against the Sacramento Kings in Golden 1 Center was the latest success on Tuesday.

“We are getting better and better on our defense. We have guys that can really defend. The whole team is listening,” mentioned Luka Doncic after piling up 28 points, “We just have to keep going like that.”

Among candidates for MVP honors at the end of the 2023-24 Regular Season, the Slovenian sensation was thrilled enough to settle as the Robin of the team, behind Kyrie Irving.

“He’s the Batman, I’m the Robin,” he commented on a pregame comment by head coach Jason Kidd, “It is just amazing. Everything on our team is amazing. Outside basketball, he is just a great person. The chemistry is very good right now.”

“I thought just the plays for one another, on both ends, offensively and defensively, was at a high,” added Kidd, “We’re just trying to take what’s in front of us and play the game that’s in front of us, take the one possession that’s in front of us to get better.”

A rematch against the Kings in Golden 1 Center follows on Friday. A five-game road trip concludes with visits to the Houston Rockets on the next installment of NBA Sundays and Golden State Warriors on Tuesday.
