The Minnesota Timberwolves began the new season with two wins and a loss, but after their victory over the Indiana Pacers (114-110), the Minneapolis team received bad news.
According to renowned NBA insider Shams Charania, the team’s best player, Anthony Edwards, will miss the next two weeks due to a strained right hamstring, which he sustained in the game against the Pacers.
The good news for Minnesota is that a more serious injury was avoided, but the All-Star will miss games against the Denver Nuggets, Los Angeles Lakers, Charlotte Hornets, Brooklyn Nets, New York Knicks, Utah Jazz, and Sacramento Kings.
After three games into the season, Edwards is averaging 25.7 points, four rebounds, and two assists.
