Patrick Beverley was arrested by the authorities last night in Fort Bend County (Texas). They charged him with assault of a family member, the Sheriff’s Office reported.
They added that they heard arguments at the former player’s house at 3:50 CT, and that the situation “led to a family violent incident”.
The investigation is ongoing, and the former NBA point guard spent the night in jail on $40,000 bail. There is no additional information about the case, according to the New York Times.
Beverley, 37, spent 12 years in the NBA after playing overseas in Dnipro, Olympiacos (2009-2010), and Zenit St. Petersburg.
He was the point guard for the Houston Rockets, Los Angeles Clippers, Minnesota Timberwolves, Los Angeles Lakers, Chicago Bulls, and the Milwaukee Bucks. He finished his career in Hapoel Tel Aviv (2024-25).
