Terrible news for the Sacramento Kings. Domantas Sabonis will miss the remainder of the season after undergoing surgery to repair a torn meniscus in his left knee.
The Lithuanian center has been struggling with his left knee and even tried to play despite the injury before deciding to have surgery and end his season, as reported by Shams Charania.
Sabonis, 29, was one of the few bright spots in an otherwise forgettable season in Sacramento. The Kings are in last place in the Western Conference with a 12-44 record.
The former Indiana Pacers player is averaging 15.8 points, 11.8 rebounds, and 4.1 assists across 19 games this season. We’ll have to wait until next season to see him back on the track and try to change the dynamics of the Californian team.
