A five-year NBA veteran with San Antonio Spurs and Detroit Pistons, Baynes averages 5.2 points, 4.1 rebounds and 14.1 minutes in 295 career games

Baynes has made four post-season appearances in his five-year NBA career, and was a member of the Spurs’ team that won an NBA Championship in 2013-14. He played in 14 playoff games that year, including a 10-point performance in Game 1 of the Western Conference Semifinals against Portland.

“We are thrilled to have Aron aboard,” Celtics president of basketball operations Danny Ainge said after the signing. “He’s a great teammate, a hard worker and provides us some needed strength and toughness on the interior.”
