This move also ends a frustrating season as Casspi labored through injuries, inconsistent minutes and playing time.

The Warriors and Cook have had discussions recently about signing him to a two-year deal that will keep him on the team through the 2019-20 season, according to “Mercury News“. But the Warriors do not plan to make the signing official until Tuesday, which marks the deadline the Warriors have in finalizing their playoff roster.

The Israeli forward has missed the past 10 games with a sprained right ankle. Though Casspi averaged 5.7 points on 58 percent shooting in 14 minutes through 53 games, he struggled with consistency in his shot. Casspi, an 11-year NBA veteran, signed with the Warriors last offseason on a one-year, veteran’s minimum deal.
