While being the assistant coach in the playoffs with the Utah Jazz, Igor Kokoskov has interest from the Phoenix Suns who want to interview the 46-year-old, for their vacant head coach position. As it was reported by ‘Arizona Sports’, Kokoskov is among the candidates for the next coaching position in Phoenix, Arizona.

Igor Kokoskov has been an NBA assistant coach since 2000 and also was in the Phoenix Suns’ bench for five years in 2008-2013, next to Alvin Gentry.

Back in September, Kokoskov’s Slovenian team led by Goran Dragic and Luka Doncic won the EuroBasket competition for the first time in the country’s history despite being an ‘underdog’ throughout the tournament.

Moreover, the Phoenix Suns’ will most likely pick in the top-3 in the 2018 NBA Draft and Luka Doncic is also one of the draft candidates. And so, a reunion between the two does not seem that far out of reach.
