The Toronto Raptors have announced the completion of their coaching staff as they added four more coaches and one of them is Sergio Scariolo.

He will be a part of head coach Nick Nurse’s staff in the 2018-19 season which also includes Adrian Griffin, Nate Bjorkgrenand, Phil Handy, Patrick Mutumbo, Jim Sann and Eric Khoury.

The Italian coach still hasn’t officially terminated his contract with the Spanish Basketball Federation by which he is bound until 2020. The Spanish national team will take part in the upcoming second round of the World Cup Qualifiers that begins in September, probably with a new coach.

Scariolo coached Spain in nearly every summer tournament since 2009 with the exception of the 2013 EuroBasket and the 2014 World Cup. He led the “Rojas” to three EuroBasket gold medals (2009, 2013, 2015), the silver medal in the 2012 Olympic Games plus bronze medals in the 20016 Olympic Games and the 2017 EuroBasket.
