Luka Doncic on last play vs. the Rockets: “We should’ve called a timeout”

By Eurohoops team/ info@eurohoops.net

Luka Doncic put on career-high 15 rebounds along with 19 points and nine assists for the Dallas Mavericks but they still fell short against the Houston Rockets.

After the Mavericks’ good defense on James Harden, Doncic got the ball with seven seconds left. The Rockets’ triple team forced him to pass the ball to Jalen Brunson who in the end got blocked by Chris Paul.

The 20-year-old Slovenian was asked about the final play after the game and he thought a timeout would’ve helped them organize a better offense: “There wasn’t a lot of time so… I think, honestly, we should’ve called a timeout. But, you know, it was the last play. I always want to get the last shot but it couldn’t be and we have to learn from this”, Doncic explained.

He also noted that his knee is fine and shared a few words about the game and Chris Paul, take a look:
