Former L.A. Clippers guard and Serbian national team captain Milos Teodosic thinks that the Philadelphia 76ers should’ve trusted his fellow Serbian player Boban Marjanovic with more time on the floor.

“Bobi didn’t get the minutes he needed and deserved,” Teodosic said to Serbian media, per Sporski Zurnal. “I’m sure he would give a full contribution to the team in the games.

I’m not saying they would win, but they would certainly be better,” Teodosic added in regards to the Sixers getting beaten by the Toronto Raptors in the Eastern Conference semifinals.

Marjanovic averaged 4.0 minutes in the five games he played in the series vs. the Raptors.

Teodosic praised another Serbian player, Denver Nuggets center Nikola Jokic for his exploits that led the Denver Nuggets to the Western Conference semifinals and one win away from the Finals.

“He [Jokic] played great in both quarterfinals and semifinals. I’m very sorry about him not making the Finals.

“We need to be proud of both [Marjanovic and Jokic],” Teodosic also mentioned.

“Jokic had a bigger and more serious role. He played extraordinarily in the entire series. Unfortunately, he didn’t have a teammate who could adequately help him,” Sacramento Kings guard Bogdan Bogdanovic commented about Jokic.
