The NBA has decided to cancel the NBA Global Camp 2019. The Camp was to take place in Monaco from May 30 to June 2.

In a statement to ESPN, NBA executive vice president of basketball operations Kiki Vandeweghe said the following: “We have canceled the NBA Global Camp 2019 due to logistical issues and other contributing factors that jeopardized our ability to successfully conduct the camp.”

ESPN reports that there was a problem regarding the conflicting schedule of the Camp with game obligations and program of AS Monaco. The Global Camp was planned to be hosted in Monaco’s arena but the dates of the tournament would coincide with the team’s obligation in the French League playoffs. There would be issues regarding the gym’s availability, something for which Monaco “wasn’t consulted,” per ESPN.
