Suns hire Rajakovic and Fois

After taking over the Phoenix Suns, Monty Williams announced the members of his staff on Wednesday via The Outlet, the NBA organization relays. Serbian Darko Rajakovic is included in his assistants alongside Willie Green, Mark Bryant, Randy Ayers, Larry Greer and Steve Blake, while Italian Riccardo Fois and Ben Strong were named player development coaches. Also, Ryan Frazier landed the head video coordinator job.

Rajakovic, 40, has been with the Oklahoma City Thunder since 2012 and became the first head coach born outside North America in G League history with the Tulsa 66ers, before being promoted to the Thunder’s coaching staff. He also assumed head-coaching responsibilities in the Summer League in 2014 and 2015. Before USA, he worked in Spain and in Serbia.

Fois, 32, spent the last five seasons with Gonzaga as the director of analytics. He also served as an assistant coach for the Italian National Team in the 2017 EuroBasket.
