July 14 has been proclaimed Giannis Antetokounmpo Day in Milwaukee County and it is also the day when Milwaukee celebrated Giannis’ first MVP award.

The 24-year-old showed up in front of the crowd and had a favor to ask of them: “After this day, July 14, please, please, please do me this favor so I can be better, so I can be a better player, so I can lead this team to a championship, please don’t call me MVP. Listen, please don’t call me the MVP after this day until I win it again next year.”

He also showed how grateful he is for getting there: “I want to thank a lot of people but I’ll start with God. I want to thank God for putting me in this situation, to be successful, for giving me this amazing talent, for allowing me to get drafted by the Milwaukee Bucks.”
