The Denver Nuggets have until October 21st to agree with Juan Hernangomez on an early contract extension. The 24-year-old Spaniard forward will likely gain restricted free agent status otherwise. However, he told the Denver Post that he considers the Colorado city his home.

No agreement yet despite reports on the Nuggets wanting to ink the 2019 FIBA World Cup gold medalist to a new deal. “This is my home” noted the player himself when asked on the possibility for a new contract during the 2019 preseason Media Day, “We are on a good way to something great. I want to be a big part of it.”

Hernangomez signed his rookie NBA contract back in 2016. Since competed in 157 regular season tilts and 5 playoffs matches, all with the Nuggets. Last season he posted 5.5 points and 3.6 rebounds per appearance.
