Utah and OKC general managers scouted Pokusevski and Avdija in person

The NBA season just started, but the front offices are already preparing for the 2020 NBA draft, and two general managers met in Greece last Saturday.

Utah’s Dennis Lindsey (photo) and Oklahoma City’s Sam Presti were among the spectators of the Greek second division game between Olympiacos B and Amintas. Serb forward Aleksej Pokusevski, who was born in December 2001, was the center of interest with scouts of the Lakers, the Clippers and the Nets also attending the game. Τhe development team of Olympiacos got the 77-58 win with Pokusevski, who is also registered for EuroLeague, scoring 14 points.

Lindsey arrived in Athens on Friday, and he also attended the EuroLeague game between Olympiacos and Maccabi FOX Tel Aviv. He was at the “Peace and Friendship” arena to watch in person Israeli Deni Avdija, a projected Top 5 pick, but the latter was a DNP for the first time this season in EuroLeague.

Presti left Athens on Sunday for Israel, he attended Maccabi’s practice and also the Monday game against Ironi Nahariya.
