The NCAA continues to recruit European talent. According to Jonathan Givony, Montenegrin talent Dordije Jovanovic, from Buducnost, will play for St. John’s under Rick Pitino.
Jovanovic, 22, already has experience in the ABA with Buducnost, and also in the G League after playing two seasons with the Ontario Clippers.
The forward lands in the Big East with St. John’s, who also appear to be close to signing Quinn Ellis, one of Olimpia Milano’s key players this season.
Another European professional is heading to the NCAA to continue his development. He is currently averaging 4.9 points and 1.8 rebounds in 20 games in the ABA this season.
