Louisville transfer Vangelis Zougris will remain in the NCAA, as the talented Greek big man has committed to Saint Mary’s, DraftExpress reports.

The 6’8 center spent the past season with Louisville, where he appeared in 27 games and averaged 2.6 points and 2.4 rebounds in 9.1 minutes per contest. Although his role was limited early on, Zougris earned a starting spot late in the season, boosting his stock across the college basketball landscape.

Before moving to the United States, the 21-year-old spent four seasons competing in Greece’s top-tier league with Peristeri, gaining valuable professional experience from 2021 to 2025.

Known for his physicality, rebounding, and passing ability, Zougris attracted notable interest in the transfer portal as a strong interior presence.

He now joins the Saint Mary’s Gaels in California, where he will look to secure a bigger role and continue his development.
