Miikka Muurinen has a new team for next season. The Finnish talent will play for John Calipari’s Arkansas Razorbacks in the NCAA.

After becoming one of the sensations of EuroBasket 2025, Miikka Muurinen signed with Partizan. He has barely seen any playing time in the EuroLeague and ABA, and will continue his path through the NCAA to enter the 2027 NBA Draft.

According to several American journalists, his destination will be Arkansas, which this season has been one of the best universities in the SEC, with Darius Acuff, projected to be a top 5 pick in the Draft, as its big star.

Muurinen has barely featured in the EuroLeague, neither under Obradovic nor Peñarroya. The 18-year-old has played in 6 games, averaging 0.2 points in 10 minutes per game across the competition.

In the ABA, he played 8 games for a total of 93 minutes, averaging 4.1 points. Now he’s heading to the NCAA to try and secure a top spot in the 2027 Draft, where he’s considered one of the favorites for the number one pick along with Tyran Stokes.
