Alex Samodurov will play next season in the NCAA at the legendary University of North Carolina. The 21-year-old Panathinaikos player withdrew his name from the 2026 Draft in recent days and will wear the Tar Heels jersey.

As reported by Jonathan Givony, Samodurov is joining North Carolina in the ACC. He will be teammates with another rising Greek star, Neoklis Avdalas, who in recent weeks switched from Virginia Tech to the iconic Chapel Hill team. He will also be a teammate in the frontcourt of Sayon Keita, one of Barça’s gems.

Samodurov has played only 10 EuroLeague games this season with Ergin Ataman’s team, averaging 2.6 points and 0.7 rebounds.

The Greek prodigy already has experience with the national team in FIBA World Cup qualifying windows and at youth levels.
