Round 9 of the Turkish League tipped off with Anadolu Efes and Fenerbahce Beko being at the top of the standings with 8-0 records while Turk Telekom follows with 6-3 despite a loss.

Ormanspor – Darussafaka Tekfen 64 – 80

Darussafaka dominated the start of the game vs. Ormanspor 17 – 26 and held on to get the win on the road. Berk Demir finished with 17 points, Sinan Guler had 16 points, Doguz Ozdemiroglu finished with 14 points plus nine rebounds and six assists while Grant Jerrett posted 12 points and five boards for the winning side.

Elmedin Kikanovic (16 points eight rebounds), Terrell Holloway (16 points, six assists), Stanton Kidd (13 points) and Jamelle Hagins (10 points) scored in double figures from the hosts.

Pinar Karsiyaka – Afyon Belediye 96 – 82

Raymar Morgan scored 22 points and grabbed eight rebounds as Pinar Karsiyaka beat Afyon at home. Amath M’Baye added 15 points and David Kenney had 14 points plus five rebounds.

J.P. Macura dropped a game-high 28 points and Chris Wright had a double-double of 18 points and 11 assists for Afyon.

Galatasaray – Turk Telekom 94-89

Yigit Arslan was the one pacing Galatasaray throughout the game with 19 points on 5-9 from deep as well as six assists and six rebounds while Brock Motum scored 18 and Daryl Macon 15 points.

On the other side, Turk Telekom struggles immensely and was down by as much as 25 points in the first half (52-27) and the loss ended up being their least concern.

Tyler Ennis suffered an injury in the third quarter and was taken off the court on a stretcher. He was later diagnosed with a torn Achilles and is done for the season.

Nick Johnson banked in 24 points in addition to Kyle Wiltjer’s 18 and Michael Eric’s 17 points. Eric also grabbed 11 rebounds.

Fethiye Belediyespor – Petkim Spor 75-74

Bobby Dixon paced Fenerbahce with 26 points and Danilo Barthel added 18 points for Fenerbahce.

On the other end of the court, Jamal Jones and Ismet Akpinar paced the visitors with 15 and 12 points each.

Besiktas – Tofas Bursa 94-85

A young and struggling squad earned its second win behind James Blackmon going for 26 points. Alperen Sengun posted a 22-point, 14-rebound double-double, and Sehmus Hazer added 19 more points.

Sean Kilpatrick generated 18 points for the losing side.
