The Turkish League semifinals are heating up, as Bahcesehir bounced back from its Game 1 defeat and tied the series against Besiktas at 1-1.
After narrowly falling short in the opener, Marko Barac’s side responded in emphatic fashion, defeating Dusan Alimpijevic’s team 101-79 on the road thanks to a dominant second-half performance.
Malachi Flynn led the winners with 20 points, while Ismet Akpinar added 17. Hunter Hale contributed 15 points, while Tyler Cavanaugh and Mateusz Ponitka chipped in with 13 apiece.
For Besiktas, Brynton Lemar scored 14 points, while Matt Thomas and Anthony Brown added 11 and 10, respectively.
The best-of-five series now shifts to Bahcesehir’s home court for Games 3 and 4, where Barac’s team will have the opportunity to move one step closer to a historic first appearance in the Turkish League Finals.
