Real Madrid and the EuroLeague Final Four might be the primary target, but CSKA Moscow still has to take care of Nizhny Novgorod in the VTB United League Playoffs. Dimitris Itoudis kicked off the best-of-five quarterfinals series with a comfortable 87-50 home victory.

The hosts started the contest with a 17-2 run and kept on adding to their lead despite missing Nando De Colo, Mikhail Kulagin and Kyle Hines. Eleven players got on the board with Will Clyburn posting a game-high 15 points.

Game 2 will be held on Monday. The series will then move to Nizhny Novgorod for Thursday’s Game 3.
