EuroCup Group A Roundup: Bologna and Promitheas off to a good start

Segafredo Virtus Bologna finished the third quarter with a 12-0 run which was crucial in their 92-79 road win against ratiopharm Ulm in 7DAYS EuroCup Group A.

Kyle Weems scored 18 points for the victors on 9-13 shooting followed by Vince Hunter’s 17 (8-12 shooting) and Stefan Markovic’s 16 points. Markovic dished eight assists as well.

For Ulm, Zoran Dragic scored 15 in addition to Tyler Harvey and Derek Willis 13 points each. The latter also grabbed eight boards.

Earlier, Promitheas Patras had everything under control against Maccabi Rishon LeZion and recorded a convincing 88-55 road win.

Chris Babb led the way with 19 points while Langston Hall added 12 and Oleksandr Lypovyy 11 points.

Nobody scored in double-digits for Rishon as Devon Saddler, Jordan Swing, and Adam Ariel contributed with nine points each.

Yesterday (1/10), AS Monaco sealed a comfortable win over MoraBanc Andorra.
