Olympiacos Piraeus has informed coach Kestutis Kemzura of the club’s decision to terminate his contract. Giorgos Bartzokas is returning to the Greek side and will coach the players in Sunday’s (12/1) practice ahead of the EuroLeague game vs. Alba Berlin Tuesday (14/1).

Kemzura parts ways with Olympiacos after coaching the team in 17 games in EuroLeague. He was promoted from assistant to head coach after David Blatt’s departure from the club at the start of the season. The “Reds” won seven EuroLeague matches under Kemzura, most recently over Valencia on the road.

Bartzokas is back with Olympiacos for the first time since his 2012-2014 stint. He won the 2013 EuroLeague title with the club.
