EuroLeague Fantasy: Zenit is back, two lottery tickets from its roster

By Eurohoops Team/ info@eurohoops.net

We’ll be… “brave” enough to select two Zenit players that began the season exceptionally and are offered in Fantasy at advantageous prices.

We are talking about Kevin Pangos and Alex Poythress

They are both basic players on Xavi Pascual’s rotation. Pangos, in particular, has entered the season eager to prove that his presence on Barcelona – also because of his injury – was a bad exception in his EuroLeague career.

Pangos has averaged 19.0 points and 4.5 assists while he has 17.0 in PIR. The Canadian guard led Zenit to two big wins over Anadolu Efes on the road and former team Barcelona in St. Petersburg but the season was paused abruptly for him and many of his teammates after they tested positive for coronavirus.

Obviously, we can’t promise that Pangos will continue in the same rhythm against Olympiacos and almost after a month of absence. But…

He costs 1.24 in Fantasy’s market and we firmly believe that he deserves to once again appear on your roster

On to Alex Poythress: He’s one of the players that coach Pascual trusts in his forward rotation and so far the American player has translated that trust into fruits for his team. He was strong against Barcelona with 17 points and 11 rebound and he’s leading Zenit overall in rebounds during these two games in EuroLeague. There’s no reason we shouldn’t trust him.

Poythress costs just 1.10 Fantasy points. By adding him to your roster you can save points in order to potentially get more expensive players.

We also think that it makes sense to invest in both Pangos and Poythress since together they cost less than what Nikola Mirotic, Shane Larkin, Alexey Shved or Nando De Colo do.

You get two for the price of one.
