Zalgiris officially adds Tyler Cavanaugh

Tyler Cavanaugh inked a 2+1 contract to join the Zalgiris, the Lithuanian team announced Tuesday.

Cavanaugh, 27, is reuniting with his head coach at the Salt Lake City Stars, Martin Schiller. He was near a deal with Zalgiris since early May, as reported by Eurohoops.

Cavanaugh spent the 2020-21 season at Lenovo Tenerife. He posted 9.1 points, 4.3 rebounds, and 1.5 assists per Basketball Champions League appearance, and 7.8 points, 4.5 rebounds, and 1.0 assists per ACB game.

His move to Zalgiris brings him ahead of his second campaign in the Turkish Airlines EuroLeague following his 2019-20 stint with ALBA Berlin. He was crowned easyCredit BBL champion in Germany.

Prior to jumping to Europe, he made his way to 50 NBA games between the Atlanta Hawks and Utah Jazz.
