Tornike Shengelia suffered a knee injury during the FIBA World Cup Qualifiers with the Georgian NT last week and will remain sidelined for Thursday’s EuroLeague Round 13 matchup against Panathinaikos in Moscow.

The CSKA power powered suffered said injury in the victory against Ukraine in Tsibilsi and remained on the bench in the game against Spain on Monday.

Shengelia is currently averaging 15.1 points, 4.5 rebounds, 2.4 assists and 1.1 steals across 28 minutes on the court in the EuroLeague and is a key part of CSKA’s rotation. Prior to a shoulder injury in mid-October that kept him away from the action for more than a month, Shengelia has won back-to-back weekly MVP honors in the EuroLeague.

Panathinaikos will also miss Ioannis Papapetrou, who is down with the flu and didn’t travel to Russia.
