Before the decisive phase of the season, the Bayern basketball team had another success story after their cup win: National team player Andreas Obst extended his contract with Munich prematurely.

The 26-year-old sharpshooter signed an extension for three more seasons until the summer of 2026.

The shooting guard plays since 2021 for FC Bayern Basketball since and has developed into a top performer for the five-time German champions.

As he said: “I’m really happy to be able to wear the FC Bayern jersey for the next three years, that makes me very proud. I am honored to have the association’s trust. I was incredibly well-received here right from the start and felt at home straight away. That applies to everyone, the team, the staff, the coaches, including the office.”

Andreas Obst also played a key role in winning the bronze medal with the German national team at the EM 2022 with an average of 11.6 points and the most three-point goals of all tournament players. At Bayern, he has been the deputy for team captain Vladimir Lucic since this season.
