Ettore Messina admits that Nunn and Carlik Jones were on Milan’s radar

With EA7 Emporio Armani Milan losing to Monaco and having a 1-5 record so far in the season, coach Ettore Messina was asked after the game why Kevin Pangos was not on the active roster.

“It’s a technical decision. We will see”, answered Messina with no more details, while the Canadian point guard was not even in the gym during the game with his other inactive teammates.

So at this point with Pangos’ future unclear and with Milan reportedly being already on the market, coach Messina was asked about a potential substitution.

Once more his answer was enigmatic, admitting indirectly that there were at least two players on Milan’s radar that ended up signing elsewhere: “Some players moved: one went to Panathinaikos with a very lucrative contract, the other one went to China and one has found a contract in the G League. It’s not an easy market. In the EuroLeague, there may be players who are not performing well in their respective clubs, but changes cannot be made until the end of the first round”.

The Italian coach was referring to Kendrick Nunn who signed with Panathinaikos and also to Carlik Jones who got a deal in the CBA.

This answer, however, it’s a clear indication that Milan is monitoring the market and searching for an addition in the backcourt.
