Concerns of Partizan Mozzart Bet stretched to young forward Uros Trifunovic.

Trifunovic, 22, will be sidelined with a thigh injury and reevaluated after ten days, the team announced Saturday evening. Depending on recovery and further medical tests, a specific timetable for his return to action will be set, as noted.

With both Balsa Koprivica and Alen Smailagic sitting out with an illness, and Kevin Punter (leg) staying on the injury list, the Serbian forward was hurt during Round 9 of the Turkish Airlines EuroLeague, at the bottom end of the double-game week on Friday. Overcoming fatigue and sidelined players, the team coached by Zeljko Obradovic pulled away in the second half to defeat ALBA Berlin in Stark Arena.

The youth product of Mega Bemax, currently called Mega MIS, lasted eight minutes versus the German club. Overall, his EuroLeague showings translate into 3.3 points, 1.2 rebounds, 0.6 assists, 0.3 steals, and 0.1 blocks per game over nine appearances, including three starts. Debuting in the continental league last season, he registered 35 games played, including 11 starts under the guidance of Obradovic.

Moving into his sixth campaign in the AdmiralBet ABA League, Trifunovic tallied 6.3 points, 3.9 rebounds, 1.3 assists, and 1.0 steals per contest over seven appearances. His side taking on Cedevita Olimpija in Round 8 of the regional league’s Regular Season on Monday will be the first game he sits out from the start of the 2023-24 season in either EuroLeague or ABA.
