Starting his EuroLeague career back in 2010, Kyle Hines just wrote another outstanding chapter of his books, becoming the second-best ever rebounder in the history of the competition with 1.803 career rebounds grabbed on European courts.

Before the game won in Round 14 against FC Barcelona, the former CSKA Moscow and Olympiacos player needed only one rebound to overtake Real Madrid legend Felipe Reyes, who finished his long career with 1.799. Ending the game with 5 rebounds, he completed the task.

The current general manager of Zalgiris Kaunas Paulius Jankunas remains on top of the rebounding list in EuroLeague history with 2.010 total rebounds. In the 4th position, Ioannis Bourousis (1.603) will be surpassed soon by Jan Vesely (1.588), who faced Kyle Hines himself in Palau Blaugrana.

As stated in the latest EuroLeague press release, “[Kyle] Hines leads the EuroLeague in most games played, 405, ranks second in two-pointers made (1,307), third in blocks (311), fourth in PIR (4,228), and 10th in steals (280)”.

Moreover, he started his EuroLeague career with Brose Bamberg, “grabbing 54 rebounds in 10 games in the 2010-11 season. He pulled down 286 in 53 games with Olympiacos Piraeus, getting 949 boards in 218 games with CSKA Moscow and 514 in 124 games with Milan”.
