Brandon Davies to be reportedly out for several weeks due to knee injury

During the weekend, Valencia suffered a heavy 20-point loss at home against Unicaja Malaga, but this wasn’t the only bad news for Alex Mumbru’s team.

During the third quarter, Brandon Davies suffered a knee injury that could sideline him for several weeks. With Augusto Lima accidentally falling on his left knee heading to the fourth quarter against Ibon Navarro’s team, the former Milano and Barcelona center had to leave the court.

Undergoing an MRI this morning in Valencia’s IMSKE Hospital, as reported by COPE, luckily it was revealed no fracture, but a bone bruise, with inflammation that will force him to miss the Spanish team’s following near appointments.

This leaves Alex Mumbru with very less options, considering the absence of the injured Boubacar Toure. Valencia may count on Jaime Pradilla, Nate Reuvers, Justin Anderson, or Semi Ojeleye to play under the basket.

Leaving Italy in the summer of 2023 to come back to Spain, Brandon Davies has been one of the best players for Valencia this year, both in the ACB (14.3 points and 4.9 rebounds per game) and in the EuroLeague (12.7 points and 3.9 rebounds per game).
