Valencia Basket has been one of the biggest success stories in Spanish and European basketball this season. Pedro Martínez’s team captivated fans with its attractive style of play, winning both the Spanish Super Cup and the Liga Endesa title, while also reaching the EuroLeague Final Four in Athens.

However, after a historic campaign, the roster is expected to undergo major changes. Jean Montero is set to join Olympiacos, Darius Thompson is heading to EA7 Emporio Armani Milan, Braxton Key is nearing a move to Fenerbahce, and now Jaime Pradilla could also be on his way out.

According to Óscar Herreros, later confirmed by MARCA, Real Madrid is prepared to activate Pradilla’s €1.5 million buyout clause to bring in the Spanish international, who has been one of the cornerstones of Valencia’s recent success and is regarded as one of the brightest talents in Spanish basketball.

MARCA adds that the deal is already at an advanced stage after former sporting director Sergio Rodríguez laid the groundwork before stepping down, with Juan Carlos Sánchez now overseeing the club’s basketball operations.

With domestic player quotas remaining a key factor in Spain and Real Madrid looking to reshape its roster following a disappointing season, Pradilla has emerged as one of the club’s top priorities.
