Real Madrid adds Salah Mejri in the paint

Salah Mejri inked a deal until the end of the 2019-20 season with Real Madrid, the Spanish club announced on Thursday. The Whites were reportedly finalizing the deal these past days with Pablo Laso also confirming that his side was close to signing the 33-year-old Tunisian center.

Mejri had signed a contract with the Liaoning Flying Leopards in September. However kept options outside the Chinese CBA in mind and ultimately made his way back to Real.

The well-experienced big competed in 35 EuroLeague matches between the 2013-14 and 2014-15 season, all with the Whites. He will also make his ACB comeback, league he introduced himself in 2012-13 with Obradoiro.

Following his three seasons in Spain, Mejri moved to the NBA and the Dallas Mavericks. He went on to play in 208 games with the Texan franchise including 4 playoffs contests. The Tunisian center averaged 3.9 points, 3.6 rebounds and 1 assists per match last year.
