CSKA Moscow guard Mike James was fined 5,000€ by EuroLeague Basketball for “making comments towards referees.” EuroLeague doesn’t mention the exact comments for which James was sanctioned.

Per EuroLeague:

Euroleague Basketball has announced disciplinary sanctions pertaining to incidents that occurred in Round 6 of the Turkish Airlines EuroLeague regular season. The sanctions are based on infractions of the competition by-laws that all teams are aware of and obliged to fulfill.

  • Player Mike James of CSKA Moscow has been fined 5,000€ for making comments towards referees. The fine is double than the regular one because of recidivism.
Last Thursday (14/11), James made a question to EuroLeague on Twitter regarding the referees watching the instant replay to review an unsportsmanlike foul. EuroLeague responded to the player.

In early November, James had retweeted a video of him being called with traveling after attempting a step-back jump shot. He wrote, “Bro James Harden, this a travel? lol”
