Real Madrid swingman Rudy Fernandez revealed that he’s in talks with Real Madrid for a contract extension. Fernandez’s current contract with the Spanish powerhouse expires at the end of the season.

“We are talking and I’m very happy with the conversations,” Fernandez said per Carlos Santos of Radio Marca. “Both Real Madrid and I have things quite clear. I want to continue. The club also is into it so we will be able to continue together more years.”

Fernandez has been playing for Real Madrid since his return to Europe from the NBA in 2012. During his stint with the “Blancos,” the Spanish player has won the EuroLeague in 2015 and 2018, plus numerous domestic titles.

In 2018-2019, Fernandez averaged 9.0 points, 2.8 rebounds and 2.7 assists in 20:27 minutes over 31 games, shooting 41.4% on 157 3-point attempts.
