Red and White storm at Belgrade

FC Barcelona Lassa has its share of woes and Pau Ribas got injured again. Still what Crvena Zvezda MTS Belgrade did on the way to its second win in the season remains admirable. The Serbs prevailed with ease (76-65).

Marko Guduric had his best ever Euroleague game (21 p., 4 r., 4 as. 2 st.) and with the help of Marko Simonovic (13 p.) and Milko Bjelica (12 p.) led the charge for the winning side

Despite trailing by 7 points after the first quarter (16-9), Zvezda came back in the second quarter with a partial 31-15 score and got a 40-31 advantage. Powered by the energy of their amazing fans, the players of coach Dejan Radonjic close the third period with a 12 points lead (60-48) after a buzzer beating shot by Charles Jenkins.

Barcelona tried to react but there was not coming back. Brad Oleson tried his best with 15 points, Victor Claver had a double double (10 p., 10 r.) but Zvezda’s defense dictated the tempo of the game and the Catalans couldn’t get anything on transition, having less assists (19) than turnovers (21).
