Brose Bamberg dominates Riga

Brose Bamberg had everything under control against VEF Riga and logged a convincing 91-53 home win in Basketball Champions Leauge.

Brose improved to 6-6 and stayed alive in the playoff race. The German squad trails behind Nizhny Novgorod (third, 7-5) and Peristeri winmasters (fourth, 7-5) while Riga stayed at the bottom with just one win (1-11).

Assem Marei and Darion Atkins scored 13 points each for the winning side while Christian Sengfelder added ten points and nine rebounds.

For Riga, Lester Medford and Alexander Madsen scored ten points each in addition to Kristijan Krajina’s six points and 11 boards.

After a balanced first quarter with Brose having a slight lead (17-15), the hosts went ahead 39-24 by halftime and kept going. They dominated the third quarter, increasing the gap to 67-35 and securing the win in the fourth.
